???PPG是80年代末最早在中国进行投资的全球性涂料公司之一，在中国制造及销售十一大类产品，包括航空材料、汽车涂料、工业涂料、包装涂料、建筑涂料、玻璃纤维、玻璃、汽车修补漆、轻工业涂料、防护及船舶涂料及光学产品。PPG在天津、苏州、昆山、张家港、淄博、广州等地共设有九家工厂，在北京、上海、苏州、广州等地设有贸易公司、办事处、实验室以及培训中心。迄今为止PPG在华投资总额已超过三亿美元，在华已经拥有超过3300名员工，在亚太地区员工人数超过9000名。

???在中国，PPG汽车涂料的主要客户包括大众、通用、梅赛德斯--奔驰、宝马、东风标致雪铁龙、奇瑞、海南马自达等，全球几乎所有汽车制造商都使用PPG的汽车涂料产品或技术。汽车修补漆在中国汽车修补和客车生产市场占有率均为第一，2005年全国20万警车改色有超过70%使用PPG专业汽车油漆。包装涂料客户主要有可口可乐、百事可乐、露露、旺旺等国内外知名公司。航空涂料主要提供给波音、国航、南航，东航和深航等，值得一提的是，国航3架用于2008北京奥运以及东航用于2010世博会的形象飞机，全部选用了PPG的涂料。PPG的工业涂料提供给海尔、诺基亚、摩托罗拉、戴尔计算机以及惠尔普等制造商。PPG制造的建筑涂料也在中国广泛使用，天安门城楼上的字及旗杆、北京首都机场、北京东方广场、北京国际展览中心、上海金茂大厦、上海东方明珠电视塔、上海浦东国际机场、广州新白云国际机场、天津金皇大厦和泰达大厦等许多高知名度的建筑，都使用了PPG制造的建筑涂料。

???除涂料业务外,PPG的玻璃纤维也于80年代进入中国，并已先后在台湾嘉义、山东淄博和江苏昆山投资了生产基地；2006年3月，在昆山基地投资的1.2亿美元，年产7万吨的世界最大的玻纤丝窑正式投产；2006年与中材金晶合作在淄博投资建成了一个年产20万吨以上的玻纤生产基地；并计划在苏州与必成实业共同设立一个玻纤研发中心，以支持PPG在亚太区客户的应用问题。PPG玻纤在全球共拥有九座生产基地，并五座研发中心，是遍布世界营销与技术服务网的全球玻纤领导者，制造连续拉丝玻璃纤维产品，包括短切纤维、直接纱、玻纤纱、无捻粗纱和玻纤卷物等。这些产品被广泛运用在各个生产制造领域，例如：运输、能源、建筑、电子，以及其它各行各业。
