the american chamber of commerce in the people’s republic of china (amcham-china) is a non-partisan, not-for-profit organization dedicated to supporting and promoting economic and trade relations between united states and china. while amcham-china is not affiliated with any branch of government, it works closely with both the chinese and us governments. first founded in 1920, it formally registered with the ministry of civil affairs of the people’s republic of china in 1991.

as more and more us enterprises enter the chinese market, the scale of activities that amcham-china undertakes has continued to grow. it is the largest national chamber of commerce and has some 2,600 members and 1,200 member companies, including major multinationals, small and medium-sized firms and individual entrepreneurs, and has chapters in central china (wuhan), dalian and tianjin, in addition to its beijing headquarters. additional planned chapters will further expend its national reach.



中国美国商会是促进中美两国之间经贸关系的一家非营利性组织，与中、美两国政府保持紧密合作与沟通。商会最早成立于1920年，并于1991年依法在中华人民共和国民政部正式注册成为社团法人。

随着越来越多的美国企业进入中国，商会举办活动的规模也在不断扩大。目前商会的会员已近2700人, 包括在华投资的1200多家美国企业，有跨国公司，中小企业和私人公司.除北京总部外,商会在武汉,大连和天津分别设立办公室。中国美国商会是目前最大的全国性外国商会组织。
