education and experience:

bachelor of science degree or equivalent (hnc, etc.), preferably in mechanical engineering 3 of years of progressive fixture design experience. bachelor of mechanical engineering ; drive license, type c is preferred; drawing software, autocad, ug, proe or solidworks, application experience/proficiencies, ms office suite experience. 

required skills:

the fixture engineer’s specific responsibilities will fall into 3 primary areas:

acｃｏｕｎｔability #1: test fixture design

comprehension of test specification, test dvp from pde;

according to test specification and test schedule, design related fixture drawings;

send fixture drawing to purchasing dept. to quote after pde’s check on fixture drawings;

choose the appropriate supplier, and release pr.

acｃｏｕｎｔability #2: test fixture check in and test setup

tracing on the manufacturing schedule of fixture;

send the fixture to qa to measure key dimensions of fixture; once fixture dimensions are out drawing spec, coordinate with pde the severity of size deviation to discuss whether to return fixture to rework or not;

when the fixture is firstly used on test rig, fixture engineer is responsible to assist test engineer/technician to do test setup.

acｃｏｕｎｔability #3: test fixture maintenance and fixture list updating.

responsible for the storage of fixture after durability is completed;

responsible for updating test fixture list weekly;

design and develop new products and improvements to current products to be applied in automotive power drive systems, based on ‘bookshelf’ design platforms. provide product design input of new products and product improvements to global product platforms based on local customer needs.  manage design projects in area of responsibility, including leading product development, testing of prototypes, problem solving and finalize product drawings.
