Role:
The ESG Research Analyst role will entail developing a strong understanding of the Environmental, Social and Governance parameters across various sectors and its impact on individual companies. The analyst will work with industry leaders in the ESG space to understand, collate, standardize and benchmark the various ESG factors for companies across sectors and its impact on businesses.
The role will involve preparation of databases, tracking key industry and company events and writing notes/reports (in Mandarin and in English). selected candidates will undergo extensive training in identification and analysis of ESG parameters that are pertinent to enable responsible investment by market participants such as asset managers, insurance companies etc.
The tasks include, but not limited to:
?The analysis of global companies on their environmental, social and governance (ESG) performance and the management of their respective ESG risks and opportunities
?Sharing detailed questionnaires with coverage company stakeholders and collect detailed information on ESG parameters along with supporting documentation
? Monitoring and reviewing ongoing company controversies through Media & Stakeholder Analysis
?Participate along with CRISIL’s client on engagement with companies participating in the Corporate Sustainability Assessment through feedback calls, webcasts and management meetings
? Project coordination with key internal and external stakeholders
Candidate profile:
? Strong understanding of accounting and financial concepts
? Research exposure
? Strong financial modeling capabilities
? Above average written and verbal communication skills
? Good reading/writing/speaking skills in Mandarin, Japanese and English
? Innovative thinking and solution orientation
? Open to new ideas and initiatives
? Ability to build strong client relations
? Ability to take execute tasks independently
? ESG knowledge and financial research experience will be added advantage
