Job deｓｃｒｉｐｔionAs a Legal Intern in HSBC China’s legal department, you will have a unique opportunity to work with a team of experienced in-house legal counsels who have expertise in a variety of practice areas including but not limited to wholesale/retail banking products and services, digital legal services, data privacy, competition law, employment law, regulatory compliance and litigation. As a Legal Intern at HSBC China, you will work within our Legal department based in Shanghai. You will have a broad range of responsibilities which may include (all under the supervision of the relevant in-house legal counsel):1) conducting legal research and preparing research paper on the legal issues/matters on requested topics; 2) translation of legal documents and materials; 3) assisting in the low-risk legal documentation drafting and review; and4) other legal assignment as needed from time to time. Requirement ’1) pursuing a ｍａｓｔｅｒ’s Degree in Law (second year student is preferred) with outstanding academic performance; 2) fluent in both Chinese and English; 3) good legal thinking and legal drafting skills; and4) ability to research and learn new legal issues quickly to facilitate problem solving.
