I. BASIC FUNCTION

The Business Development Manager will pursue sales opportunities in China and manage the potential projects, support new development of new markets and work with technical department to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.


II. MAJOR ACTIVITIES

Pursue new sales opportunities in China in diverse markets such as Oil & Gas production, petroleum refining, hydrocarbon processing, chemical manufacturing, syn-gas production, bio-gas processing, and geo-thermal gas processing.


With support from other teams including Sales, Engineering and Technical Service:
o Participate in and learn to manage all phases of the sales process, from the initial response to inquiries through closing the sale (with appropriate contracts prepared and ｅｘｅｃuted by Merichem and the customer.)
o Develop and learn to manage project specific sales strategies and supporting tactics to maximize both profitability and probability of success.
o Maximize efficient use of sales support resources
o Assist in forecasting of sales support resource requirements on a project specific basis.
o Assist in forecasting revenue, margin, key dates, and probabilities on a project specific basis.
o Participate in and learn to manage the project specific risk assessment and mitigation process through close of the sale.
o Prepare and ｄｅｌiver presentations and/or publishable articles designed to market our technology
o Support improvement of tools to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the sales effort
o Support development of new market niches for Merichem technology
o Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction




III. BASIC SKILLS NEEDED


v BS degree or above
v Major in Chemical Engineering or other Technical Degree with equivalent
v Chemical Process Engineering knowledge from industry experience, prefer to having experience with Technology Licensing Business.
v Driver License is required.
v A Minimum 3 years of working experience is required
v Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook and power-point.
v Good command of written and spoken English & Mandarin
v Excellent oral and written communications skills
v Outgoing and nice personality, target oriented and positive attitude
v Able to listen/read, comprehend, maintain concentration and analyze complex data
v Willing and able to work under pressure
v Self-motivator who is keen to upgrade, improve personal knowledge and skills to meet job requirement
