RESPONSIBILITIES
Frame and communicate general safety expectations and practices to be followed by site personnel to ensure all covered processes comply with applicable regulations and standards.Advise teams on safer design and use of equipment and/or processes.Interpret safety and occupational health related external regulatory requirements and DuPont policies then apply them to site practices.Develop and provide technical guidance and best practices to various departments regarding their responsibilities to the safety program.Develop, coordinate, and/or conduct EHS training to increase proficiency in site practices and reduce the potential for workplace injuries or other loss.Conduct/review job safety analyses of processes to identify and mitigate EHS issues.Lead/actively support safety networks or committees.Develop, facilitate, and promote employee safety improvement (Kaizen events, safety councils, and safety meetings).Be a visual presence on the production floor and provide counsel, advice and support to other functions on safety related matters.Arrange and oversee execution of site daily floor walks.Analyze performance metrics (leading and lagging indicators) and engage site leaders with recommended programmatic adjustments for safety improvementLead health & safety audits and critically analyze trends for improvement opportunitiesEnsure timely reporting, classification, and investigation of EHS incidents or near miss events.Conduct incident investigations/root cause failure analysis (RCFA) and communicate key learnings from environmental, health and safety eventsDevelop and maintain relationships with local safety agencies and take leadership role during inspections.
