Summary:
Shipping Associate executes offshore daily logistics processes for US market, provides excellent customer service and visibility to our US counterpart and maintains a high efficiency operation.
He/She coordinates among vendors, factory planning team, US counterpart and import team to deliver all US-bound shipments.
Responsibilities:
1.Coordinate with factories & logistics service providers (LSP) to ensure on-time shipping and smooth shipping process,
a. Handle booking reports generated by GTNexus system with factories to initiate shipping process,
b. Monitor and coordinate with factories for on-time shipment bookings according to above mentioned various dates, monitor booking data input by factories,
c. Manage online/offline shipment bookings and monitor shipping schedules with factories and LSP in most effective way,
d. Work closely with LSP and factories to address challenges in shipping operation
2. Work closely with vendors, factory planning team (FPT) and US counterpart to execute US shipments based on PO Ex-factory dates, Promise dates, and Customer Request Dates
a. To identify and alarm any potential delays,
b. To minimize shipping delays and establish true shipping timeline to US import team
3. Maintain data and reports, and keep track of shipment status, provide visibility,
a. Track & Trace/Monitor shipment status
b. Enhance communication with US to heighten awareness of challenges related to shipping schedule, space and equipment availability
4. To perform other tasks as assigned by the Shipping Supervisor
Qualifications:
1. College’s degree or above
2. At least 3 years of working experience in logistics field focusing on shipping, import/export, ocean/air freight
3. Fluent in written and spoken English and Mandarin, good communication skill
4. Proficiency in MS Office application, especially in Outlook, Excel, Word
5. Advantageous skills:
a. Working experience in forwarder, carrier or 3PL
b. Knowledge about Infornexus (former GTNexus), Oracle and data analysis
