Summary:
Sr. Costing Manager position reports to the Asia Costing Director and manages multiple brands and Brand Costing team. Position works with key supply chain leaders, global development, Asia factories, and suppliers. Responsible for high level negotiating factory making costs, delivering seasonal pricing at target MFP margin. Manager assesses and improves costing guidelines and procedures. Position also works with global costing management to execute costing strategy.
Responsibilities:
1. General and Task Management
?Support continuous improvement through cost engineering techniques and processes, identifying inefficiencies and cost optimization opportunities.
?Monitor and review reports and information to detect, assess, and identify problems with recommendations to resolve.
?Manage and deliver optimal results from vendor and supplier negotiations.
?Provide strategic and operational information for leadership.
2. People Management
?Manage, coach, develop, and optimize team performance to deliver organization’s goals.
?Effectively manage Brand Costing team to deliver brand seasonal MFP margin targets.
?Set direction for team OKRs(Objective/Key Results), review and assess ongoing performance of direct reports.
?Develop and maintain strong relationships with center of functional departments and Factory Partner vendors.
3. Strategy and Development
?Contribute to the implementation of best practice, costing strategy, policies, processes and procedures aimed to improve operational performance.
?Ensure efficient costing processes are in place and to take on project lead.
Qualifications:
1. 10+ years of relevant footwear experience in costing and/or manufacturing with
3+ years of people management experience. Has managed and/or supervised individuals
2. High degree of knowledge and understanding of shoes manufacturing processes and ability to evaluate and analyze associated cost.
3. Fluency in English spoken and written
4. College or University Degree
