苏州百年职业学院是苏州科技大学与加拿大百年理工学院根据《高等教育法》、《中华人民共和国中外合作办学条例》及有关行政法规，经江苏省人民政府批准、教育部备案而创立的，具有独立法人资格的中外合作办学高职院校，前身是苏州港大思培科技职业学院，已有11年办学历史。
苏州百年职业学院地处风景如画的苏州工业园区内，位于全国高等教育国际化示范区——独墅湖科教创新区，区内有中国科技大学、中国人民大学、东南大学、苏州大学、西交利物浦大学等26所高校本部或分校落户，自然与文化生态融为一体。苏州百年职业学院具有三类学生：一类是中加合作项目课程学生，约占50%；一类是中国大专课程，约占25%；一类是来华留学生，约占25%。根据中加协议，达到学分要求的中外学生可以同时获得苏州百年职业学院和加拿大百年理工学院的大专毕业文凭，并直通加拿大或其他协议学校继续深造本科和研究生，其他毕业生在国内升读本科或就业。
学院由马来西亚著名实业家赖炳荣先生投资，江苏省教育厅原厅长王斌泰先生任董事长，杨晓江博士任院长。学院将在若干年内建成拥有30多个适需专业、具有4000名本土生和1000多名来华留学生的规模、中外合作培养水平达到国内一流的高职院校。
据学院发展规划，计划在五年内引进170名左右的专门人才，其中20名左右高层次人才，包括学术（系部或专业）带头人及职能部门干部，为把学院办成中外合作培养水平达到国内一流的高职院校提供人才支撑。
